The Gloucestershire Playing Fields Association was founded in 1926 by a small group of forward thinking people, to help create and improve open spaces for sport, recreation and play.

Today the GPFA continues to work hard to achieve the same objectives, providing advice and support for its members together with a grants and loans scheme to improve sport and play facilities across the county.
