In June 2025 we held a Playground Inspection Training Seminar at Churchdown, hosted by the parish council. The training is provided specifically for councillors, volunteers or council staff who undertake Routine Playground Inspections on behalf of town and parish councils, or other community organisations.

The half-day course is led by a qualified and highly experienced playground inspector, and GPFA members are offered a discounted rate for the course. We will hold another session in 2026.

We are also able to offer individual, tailored advice to councils and organisations in respect of playground design, safety and maintenance.

Amongst the items covered were play legislation, risk assessment, keeping inspection records, inspection techniques and general good practice. The training has both an indoor (theory) and outdoor (practical) element. Please contact the Secretary for further information.
